SALT LAKE CITY- This Thanksgiving Utah theatres will welcome the inspiring final chapter of the epic "The Work and The Glory" film trilogy.
"The Work and The Glory III: A house Divided" marks the conclusion of the movie trilogy. This film follows the early Saint's travails as they are confronted by the angry anti-Mormon mobs of Missouri backed by the industrious Governor Boggs.
Randy Davis, head of film distribution for Excel Entertainment, the film's distributor said, "The 'Glory' fans can't wait for this film. We get emails from them all the time. We are excited because the film really delivers. It has all of the spirituality of the first and all of the passion of the second."
Larry Miller, the film's executive profucer agrees "A House Divided" is the bese of the three.
"Number three is my favorite. Jonathan Scarfe lends so much credibility to Joseph Smith. He is just absolutely wonferful," said Miller.
Gerald Lund, acclaimed author of the best-selling "The Work and The Glory" books is very pleased at how his novels have been transformed into three wonderful films.
"I feel the screenwriters were faithful to the story and to the characters. I am very pleased with how well they did, I am deeply grateful to see three films produced," said Lund.
"The Work and The Glory" is the first LDS film trilogy to be completed and is collectively the biggest LDS film event ever. After the success of the novel series, Larry H. Miller felt compelled to produce the series in film. The novel series has nine total volumes, but the film trilogy will likely end at book three.
"I think we have provided the most credible look into our collective past to date," said Scott Swofford, producer of "The Work and The Glory III: A house Divided". Having been invlved with many of the films proceeding these, it is a real compliment to say that the struggles are more accurate and complete than have ever been presented in film; I'm proud of the films."
The imspiring final chapter "The Work and The Glory III: A House Divided" will open November 22 in Utah theatres.
