According to Bytheway, the adversary Satan seeks to hide consequences or convince people that there are no consequences for choices they make. He is also the author of addiction, and tries to bind people to things that take them away from the gospel of Jesus Christ. By blowing away the “DUM” clouds (Dark Underlying Mists), Bytheway illustrates how the gospel makes consequences clear, and that happiness and freedom are the consequences of making the right decisions.
In classic Bytheway style, he uses stories, scriptures, and statements from Church leaders, and convincingly shows that living the gospel is the smartest thing anyone can do! The gospel teaches how to say:
- no to pornography,
- no to immorality,
- yes to good friends,
- yes to repenting,
- yes to coming to Christ,
- and yes to enjoying a life of peace and happiness through the power of the atonement.
