High School Musical II Review
When we got to the checkout line, the cashier commented casually that we must be buying the various High School Musical items for someone else, as our children, ages 3 and 2, are too young to know about it.  My wife unabashedly replied that no, they were in fact for us!  And actually, even at the ages of 2 and 3, my girls absolutely love the music from the first film, knowing a lot of the words to the songs, and I suspect it will be the same for the new music.  Also, since arriving home from the store, my 3-year-old has been pestering me constantly to play the new "school music" games!

I just wanted to thank Disney for this latest installment of High School Musical. My entire family fell in love with the first film, watching it over and over and listening to the soundtrack constantly.  We even have a High School Musical poster in our basement! Honestly, I had my doubts whether the second installment could live up to the unexpected magic of the first, but after watching the Disney premier last night, we were not disappointed.  Though the plot was just as predictable and cheesy as the first, the music and dancing was once again top notch, and it was also nice to see the further utilization of some of the young unknown and untapped talent of actors from the first film.  Additionally, the second installment was not simply a regurgitation of the first, but had a fresh look and feel--truly unique and distinct from the first.  Overall, it was another high energy, fun, and creative film!

I just wish that there were more high quality clean family-friendly entertainment options with a good message out there. It truly is a rarity in the media today, which is probably one reason why we and so many others enjoy the High School Musical movies and music so much.   We are already looking forward to the next installment!
